PICO-UNION, LOS ANGELES, Dec. 12 (KNN) — Flames spread from a burning box truck to two other vehicles parked on a street in the Pico-Union neighborhood within Central Los Angeles early Tuesday morning.

Los Angeles Fire Department crews were dispatched to the 1600 block of West 11th Street shortly before 3 a.m. for reports of an auto fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a box truck on fire and on the way to becoming fully engulfed in flames.
During the firefight, the fuel tank ruptured causing the flames to intensify. Ignited fuel flowed down the gutter causing two more vehicles to catch fire as well as nearby trees.
The stubborn flames were extinguished in approximately 25 minutes. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
