The Notre Dame Fighting Irish (0-2) are winless after the first two games of the season, but they get another shot to get on the board this weekend when they host the Purdue Boilermakers (2-1). Purdue is an improved team and will give the Irish another test.

Location: Notre Dame Stadium (Notre Dame, Ind.)
    Date: Saturday, September 20
    Time: 3:30 PM ET
    Network: NBC/Peacock
    Line: Notre Dame -26.5, O/U: 55.5

Notre Dame has released its depth chart ahead of this weekend's contest:

    NOTRE DAME OFFENSE

*** There were no changes to the offensive depth chart, and thus far in the season the rotation has fit with the depth chart provided. That includes a split in reps between Jaden Greathouse and Will Pauling, which has played a role in Greathouse getting off to a slow start while Jordan Faison has doubled his snaps.

*** The offensive line was better against Texas A&M compared to how it performed against Miami, but the unit is still playing well below expectations coming into the season. This is especially true in the run game, with star running back Jeremiyah Love averaging just 3.9 yards per carry and the offense averaging just 3.4 yards per carry through two games.

*** Tight end Ty Washington got a lot more playing time against Texas A&M, playing 19 snaps after getting just one snap in the opener.

    NOTRE DAME DEFENSE

*** There were no changes to the Notre Dame depth chart on the defensive side of the ball.

*** Senior defensive end Josh Burnham has been dealing with a lower body injury, but was cleared to play against Texas A&M and only played just three snaps after a strong performance in the opener against Miami.

*** Sixth-year senior Jordan Botelho started against Texas A&M as did fifth-year senior defensive tackle Jared Dawson, although both were listed on the second team before last week's game.

*** Fifth-year senior DeVonta Smith missed the game against Texas A&M after suffering an ankle injury during pre-game.

    NOTRE DAME SPECIAL TEAMS

*** There were no changes to the depth chart on special teams.

*** Fifth-year senior Noah Burnette is dealing with an injury and is listed as questionable for the game against Purdue. Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman said that junior Marcello Diomede and freshman Erik Schmidt would compete for the starting role if Burnette is unable to play.
