Oklahoma State Men’s Basketball Head Coach, Steve Lutz, begins his second year in Stillwater with high hopes for the future. In his first year as head coach, Lutz and Oklahoma State went 17-18, 7-13 in conference play, tied for 12 th place in the Big 12. The Pokes went on to lose to Cincinnati in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament and managed to make the NIT quarterfinals before losing to North Texas. After taking over for former Oklahoma State head coach, Mike Boynton Jr., Lutz has worked overtime on revamping this Pokes roster. Lutz brings in one three star and two four-star players to the 2025-2026 Oklahoma State Men’s Basketball fold. He also utilized the transfer portal, bringing in former Green Bay guard and perineal scorer, Brandon Roy (25.7 PPG at Green Bay) and former Seton Hall guard, Isaiah Coleman (15.6 PPG at Seton Hall), among others.
And though there is reason for a healthy bit of hype surrounding the 2025-2026 Oklahoma State Men’s Basketball team, there is even more to look forward to for the 2026-2027 basketball year.
