Denver erased a 19-0 deficit with a furious fourth-quarter surge, showcasing resilience and climbing the power rankings.

For Broncos fans, Week 7 wasn’t for the faint of heart. After three scoreless quarters resulting in a score of 19-0, the Denver offense suddenly flipped a switch and scored 33 points to complete the comeback and win 33-32 against the New York Giants.

There were numerous challenging moments that led to questions about whether the Broncos are legitimate contenders or not, but for now, they move up one spot to No. 9 in Bleacher Report's Week 8 power rankings after demonstrating their resilience against New York.

“Denver showed tremendous resiliency in the contest, yet it played rather poorly through three quarters. There is plenty for the Broncos coaching staff to address this week,” the B/R NFL Staff wrote in a recent article. “However, Sean Payton's squad continues to show it can win in a variety of different manners during Denver's current four-game winning streak. In the end, a win is a win no matter how a team reached that point.”

The offense reached 407 total yards on Sunday, most of which came in the final 15 minutes of the game. Second-year quarterback Bo Nix led the charge, scoring each of the team’s four touchdowns in the fourth quarter. He finished Week 7 with 279 passing yards and two passing touchdowns, with 48 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Other notable offensive playmakers on Sunday were running back J.K. Dobbins, who recorded 81 rushing yards, and receivers Courtland Sutton and Marvin Mims Jr., who each caught six balls for 87 and 85 yards, respectively.

Although it wasn’t quite the dominant performance for the defense that Broncos fans have become accustomed to this season, they still made some big plays. The biggest of them all, however, was easily linebacker Justin Strnad’s interception with under five minutes to play while Denver was down 10 points. He’s been great for the Broncos in 2025, holding quarterbacks to a 62.9 passer rating while recording 3.5 sacks in 301 snaps played.

It wasn’t pretty, but the Broncos got the win at home against a scrappy Giants team. Now, the next step for the Broncos is to show consistency. Football fans know how threatening they can be with their dominant defense and flashes of potent offense. Head coach Sean Payton needs to find a way to bring it all together for the Broncos to truly be considered legitimate contenders.
