The Cleveland Browns are just 2-7 this season, and following a 2024 campaign in which they went just 3-14, fans are tired of the ineptitude.
But what is the reason for the Browns' constant struggles?
Cleveland radio host Bruce Drennan has identified what he feels is the culprit for the team's issues, and he thinks it's head coach Kevin Stefanski.
“Culture. Let me repeat: culture," Drennan said. "The culture of the Cleveland Browns is that they always find a way to lose, not to find a way to win. Question: is this culture going to change ... Stefanski remains the coach? I don’t think so."
Stefanski first took the Browns job in 2020. During his inaugural season at the helm, he led Cleveland to its first playoff appearance since the 2002-03 campaign and even guided the squad to a Wild Card Round win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Then, in 2023, Stefanski led the Browns to another trip to the postseason in spite of employing five different starting quarterbacks.

Overall, though, the 43-year-old has gone just 42-51 in Cleveland, and things have taken a massive turn for the worst the last couple of seasons.
But is that really Stefanski's fault?
Let's be honest: the Browns were terrible long before Stefanski arrived. Again, he led them to their first playoff appearance in nearly two decades. So it's not like Cleveland was this model franchise that was ruined the second Stefanski arrived on the scene.
That isn't a staunch defense of Stefanski, nor is it an endorsement to bring him back in 2026. It's only to say that the Browns' organizational issues run much deeper than the head coach.
This is a product of poor drafting, terrible salary cap management and even worse roster construction, all of which has resulted in Cleveland being widely considered one of the worst-run franchises in professional sports.
Whether or not Stefanski actually returns for another season remains to be seen, but make no mistake about it: simply replacing him with another head coach will not instantly solve the problems that the Browns constantly seem to be facing.
Cleveland will battle the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday.
