The Times of India has reported that Telegram is under investigation in India following the arrest of Pavel Durov.  The Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology are examining the platform for involvement in gambling, extortion, and other illegal activities.  Depending on the investigation's outcome, Telegram could face a potential ban in India, which has the world’s largest Telegram user base at approximately 104 million.  Conflicting reports on social media suggest mixed experiences with accessing the Telegram wallet in India, with some users encountering an "unsupported region" message, while others still have access.
