Digital asset manager Hashdex wants to offer a combined spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF in the U.S. They submitted an S-1 registration statement for its Hashdex Nasdaq Crypto Index US ETF on June 24. The ETF will track the Nasdaq Crypto US Settlement Price Index, which measures the performance of a substantial portion of the crypto market. Initially, the fund will include only BTC and ETH, but it could incorporate other assets (altcoins) in the future.
Hashdex's proposal suggests a transition to a sample replication strategy if additional assets are approved. The fund's current weighting would be 76.3% BTC and 23.7% ETH.
BitGo and Coinbase Custody will serve as custodians for the assets.
