Defensive end, and 15-year veteran Brandon Graham is coming out of retirement to help the only club he's known to make another Super Bowl push.

Reinforcements are coming to the City of Brotherly Love.

Longtime Philadelphia Eagle, former Pro Bowl defensive end Brandon Graham is coming out of retirement to return to the club on a one-year deal.

Graham played for the Eagles for his whole 15-year career until he retired at the top, winning Super Bowl 57 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

However, with injuries to Nolan Smith and Ogbo Okoronkwo, as well as the unexpected retirement of the recently-signed Za’Darius Smith, it forced Graham’s hand to help the team that made him a two-time Super Bowl champion.

On his podcast’s “Unblocked” Instagram page, Graham teased that he has a special announcement planned for Tuesday morning, and it later confirmed suspicions that he was coming back to the gridiron.

"Of course, I believe in the team," Graham said on the podcast. "That's a big part of it, too. I think they got everything they need. I just want to add more value."

He also added that he has “zero expectations” and that he is just “excited to get after it.”

There were initial reports coming out that Graham was considering coming out of retirement, and that quickly formed into the 37-year-old finalizing a deal to return to the Eagles.

Throughout Graham’s storied career, he currently holds the record for most tackles for loss in Eagles history with 126, as well as the third-most sacks with 76.5.

Not only that, he’s second behind another longtime Eagle, Fletcher Cox with 153 quarterback hits and third in forced fumbles.

There’s been a lot of chatter on how the Eagles have been internally due to the recent offensive struggles. But luckily for the franchise, it seems to be turning things around after the win against the Minnesota Vikings 28-22 last week.

It wouldn’t be a surprise that the return of the veteran would be welcomed with open arms. Initially when rumors were flying about Graham’s potential return after the win against the Vikings, defensive tackle Jordan Mailata was overjoyed at the possibility of reuniting with one of his brothers.

"If he were to come back, hell yeah," he said. "That's Uncle right there, Uncle OG. One of the most important pieces we had getting a Super Bowl last year. I think it would just add depth and that pop."

There’s no crystal clear date when Graham will return to the field, but the sole presence of the veteran has to be a boost in morale.

Philadelphia’s next game is on Sunday, October 26, hosting the division-rival New York Giants with a kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.
