This Philadelphia Eagles coach has received a rather bleak prediction.

The Philadelphia Eagles have lost two games in a row, and while there is plenty of blame to go around, most of the burden falls upon the Eagles' offense.

Philadelphia ranks 30th in the NFL in yards per game. Jalen Hurts is in the crosshairs, and suddenly, the Eagles can't run the ball, either. That's in spite of having Saquon Barkley, who led the league with 2,005 rushing yards last season.

What exactly is going on? Is it Hurts? Or is it offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo?

Patullo replaced former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, who left to take the New Orleans Saints' head-coaching job during the offseason. Patullo was promoted from the role of passing game coordinator, and it has been a rough adjustment period for him.

So, will Patullo be able to right the ship? Or is he doomed to failure? One NFL coach seems to think it's the latter.

"This is Brian Johnson 2.0, just earlier in the season," the coach told Mike Sando of The Athletic.

Like Patullo, Johnson was serving on the Eagles' coaching staff before being promoted to the role of offensive coordinator back in 2023. He didn't exactly have a successful run that year, as he was criticized throughout the campaign and ended up losing his job at the end of the season.

Could Patullo be following the same fate? Or are there other factors at play here?

If we are being honest with ourselves, Patullo is not the only problem. There seems to be a rather discernible disconnect between Hurts and his wide receivers. A.J. Brown made that clear in a social media post after Week 4, and DeVonta Smith recently said that the quarterback was not on the same page as his pass-catchers.

That came to a head in Week 6, when Philadelphia was hammered by the New York Giants without scoring a single point in the second half. Brown and Smith were seen despondent on the sideline during the fourth quarter, speaking to each other with towels covering their mouths.

Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean that Patullo's job will be saved if this continues. Should Philly's offense struggle throughout the entirety of 2025, you can bet that Patullo will probably be handed a pink slip by season's end.
