The Philadelphia Eagles have gotten off to a 4-0 start in their quest to win their second straight Super Bowl championship, but they have not been bereft of drama.
Wide receiver A.J. Browns is clearly not thrilled with his lack of production thus far, and following a two-catch effort during the Eagles' Week 4 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he took to social media to essentially say that he wants out. Or that he is, at the very least, incredibly disgruntled.
Could the Eagles actually trade the star pass-catcher during the middle of the season?
Bleacher Report's Alex Kay thinks so, proposing a deal in which Philadelphia would send Brown to the New England Patriots in exchange for a second-round draft pick and a 2027 seventh-rounder.
"With the Eagles still managing to get off to a 4-0 start despite Brown's shortcomings, they may be amenable to dealing him to New England," Kay wrote. "His services won't come cheap, but the Pats shouldn't hesitate to create a standout, veteran-laden receiving corps led by [Stefon] Diggs and Brown."
Brown has logged 14 catches for 151 yards and a touchdown thus far in 2025, with the bulk of his production coming in Week 3 when he snared six balls for 109 yards and a score.
The Eagles originally landed the 28-year-old in a trade with the Tennessee Titans back in 2022. Brown posted back-to-back 1,400-yard campaigns to begin his career in Philly and then finished with 1,079 yards in 13 games last year.
Brown actually signed a three-year, $96 million extension with Philadelphia last year, a deal that keeps him under contract with the Eagles through 2029.
But perhaps Brown's time in the City of Brotherly Love really is running out.
This isn't the first occasion in which there have been questions about Brown's character in the Eagles' locker room, and there have even been rumblings over the years that he doesn't have the best relationship with Jalen Hurts.
Trade speculation has floated around Brown for quite some time now, but Philadelphia has understandably never pulled the trigger. Could that change before the Nov. 4 trade deadline?
