A season ago, the Philadelphia Eagles had arguably one of the best rushing attacks the NFL had ever seen. Saquon Barkley had a historic season, Jalen Hurts could beat anybody on the run, and other factors.

However, with some changes to the offensive line, Barkley not playing as well as he did a year ago, and Hurts struggling to make throws that would open up the run game, there have been some issues for the Eagles' offense.

It's as simple as that, and something that has to be changed.

There are a few players who could get the blame, including star receiver A.J. Brown. Brown has been discouraged with his role and has made that known in the past.

When speaking to reporters, it sounds like he has a good understanding of what has to change for Philadelphia to have the offense it is looking to have. At the very least, for Brown and the Eagles now, it sounds like he wants to be here and wants to win.

"It comes down to executing and doing our job," Brown said, per SI. "Right now, we're in a heavy phase of being accountable, holding guys accountable and just taking that step forward..."Main issues...self-inflicted wounds. Sometimes just a lack of execution at the wrong time, you know. If it's the first down, you are going to lack the execution, it may not be the end of the world. But when it happens on third down or puts us behind the sticks, that's hard to recover in this league. I just think being on the same page and communication and lack of execution."

Everything Brown said makes perfect sense, and it's something the Eagles will ultimately have another few weeks to fix.

At 4-2, it isn't like Philadelphia is in a bad spot to make the postseason. However, if the Eagles want to be the offense they're looking to be over the next few weeks, those changes will have to come sooner rather than later.

This team remains in a strong position to make the postseason and potentially go on a run, but the next few weeks will be challenging, particularly against the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants, two teams with above-average defenses.
