1 Person Detained After Containment Zone at a Newhall Apartment Complex
One person was detained after a containment zone was set up at an apartment complex on Newhall Avenue Thursday afternoon.
Newhall: Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station deputies detained one person after a containment zone was set up in Newhall on Thursday, June 17, 2021. The incident began around 2:30 p.m. at an apartment complex on the 23600 block of Newhall Avenue. Deputies began evacuating the apartment building using a shield and weapons to escort children and adults out of the building as Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Air 5 helicopter circled overhead. One person was detained just after 4 p.m. in relation to the incident. No other information is currently available regarding the details of the incident.
