Assault with a Deadly Weapon Suspect in Custody After Pursuit
Van Nuys, CA: A call came out Tuesday night, Dec. 3, for an Assault with a Deadly Weapon suspect on two victims at 10:37 p.m. The weapon is believed to have been a handgun, and the victim knew the suspect who was an ex-boyfriend, according to Van Nuys Watch Commander Felipe Vasquez.
Police were able to locate the suspect's vehicle from the description from the victim. A back-up was requested and a short following occurred where the suspect bailed out of the vehicle and a short foot pursuit then ensued at which point the officers set up a perimeter and an airship was called.

K9 arrived quickly and located the suspect inside the perimeter. The suspect sustained a dog bite to the foot. Suspect was then taken into custody around midnight and transported to a hospital by officers.
