North Hollywood Bicyclist Critically Injured
A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle and critically injured while traveling westbound on Sherman Way early Wednesday morning.
North Hollywood: A bicyclist was struck by a dark colored pickup truck and critically injured while traveling westbound on Sherman Way just past Ethel Avenue in North Hollywood around 4:49 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. East and westbound traffic on Sherman Way was closed by Los Angeles Police Department officers and Department of Transportation while Valley Traffic Division investigated the incident.
The bicyclist was struck while riding in lanes of traffic, and no visible headlight or taillight were seen on the bike. The victim was transported to Holy Cross Medical Center by Los Angeles Fire Department firefighter/paramedics.
