In a recent roundtable, experts discussed the challenges and concerns around data privacy and content control in today's digital landscape. Rob Nelson, the roundtable anchor, opened the discussion with concerns about creators losing control over their data and content.

Taylor Ferber, the host of the Cancel Me Baby Podcast, shared her experience talking to well-known comedians Ray Romano and Caroline Rhea, who expressed their concerns about people being silenced and put into a box, which is troubling for art, creativity, and expression.

Sam Sideman, CEO and Co-founder of Innovo, pointed out that social media platforms are constantly under scrutiny for their data privacy practices. He argued that TikTok, despite being owned by a Chinese corporation, isn't the only platform engaging in data collection and selling. He highlighted the practices of Meta and Facebook, explaining that data privacy issues extend to all major platforms.

Jordan Edelson, Co-founder and CEO of Trade Zing, discussed the potential for the problem to worsen, especially with advancements in AI and the push towards the metaverse. He emphasized the importance of transparency and focusing on connecting advertisers with authentic voices. As a smaller platform, Trade Zing aims to work closely with advertisers and sponsors while being driven by the community.
