Panorama City, CA: A call came into the Los Angeles Fire Department at 3:17 a.m. regarding flooding at the 14800 block of W. Devonshire Street. A 72-inch water line ruptured sending gallons of water gushing into the street, trapping cars and threatening homes.

Flooding started on Woodman, between Mayall and Plummer Streets. DWP was on scene, along with LAFD trying to awaken residents to evacuate as rain continued to pound the southland. As of late this morning, DWP continued to work on cutting the flow of water through the pipe. There is no estimate on how long the repair will take.
