In the wake of Israel's genocidal assault on Gaza the mainstream media remains mostly quiet as millions take to the streets around the world protesting in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

It has been two weeks since Israel began their latest bombardment of Gaza in retaliation for the coordinated attacks of Hamas, in typical fashion of the apartheid regime commencing a campaign of slaughter against Gaza's over two million civilians, so far killing more than 4,200 in what many have likened to a genocide.

While a general search of the corporate press reveals a slew of live update streams on the conflict and a whitewashing of Israeli war crimes, what is notably missing is almost any thorough coverage of the mass global protests taking place in support of Palestinians.

Aside from a few tasteful compilations from Reuters and the Atlantic showing pictures of the growing global movement, and sparse mentions from other outlets such as The Associated Press and NBC, half of which disingenuously frame the protests as mostly taking place in Muslim countries, remarkably absent is any coverage providing a genuine full context of just how massive these global uprisings truly are.

Far from being the sporadic rallies they have been characterized as by corporate mainstream media, the reality is that as the ugly mask of occupation and apartheid slips off of the Israeli regime for all to see, millions of people around the world have taken to the streets in a mass show of support for the people of Palestine in what is the largest global protest movement since the worldwide demonstrations against COVID-19 mandates.

These and numerous more cities around the globe have all taken to a mass outpouring of support in solidarity with the besieged people of occupied Palestine. Defying global leaders who've attempted to crack down on the protests with laws restricting support for Palestine, a move that Amnesty International calls a disproportionate attack on the right to protest.

In some European locations where support for Palestine has been banned such as in France, Germany, and elsewhere the protests resulted in violent clashes as regional police were sent in to disperse the gatherings, resulting in the usages of tear gas, water cannons and other brutal tactics against the peaceful protesters.

As the scenes of Zionist brutality continue to spread like wildfire across social media despite the best efforts to suppress it, it has become abundantly clear that Israel's propaganda machine has failed. As the people of the globe march in unison with those in occupied Palestine who continue their more than century long struggle to reclaim their home it should lead everyone to question who really is this "international community" that we hear pundits reference so often? The imperialist elitist ruling class of the western hegemony? Or the millions of ordinary people around the world willing to stand up refusing to trade their humanity for patriotism in order to defend basic human dignity? The answer seems pretty clear. The people have spoken.
