Green Bay Packers fans certainly won't like to hear this take concerning the NFC North.

The Green Bay Packers are 3-1-1 and sit atop the NFC North, which most people would agree is probably the best division in football right now.

But just how safe are the Packers? Do they have the inside track to win the NFC North? Or will they ultimately be upended by the end of the season?

Zak Keefer of The Athletic delivered a take that is sure to raise the hairs on every Green Bay fan's neck heading into Week 7, complimenting the Chicago Bears while expressing some concern over the Packers.

"Ask yourself this: Which NFC North team is getting better? The Bears are. It’s not just the three-game win streak, but Caleb Williams’ completion percentage (up), sack percentage (down) and TD-INT ratio (much improved)," Keefer wrote. "The Packers were hearing Super Bowl buzz after their Week 1 win over the Lions but have largely unimpressed since; the offense feels disjointed and underwhelming."

Chicago has won three straight games, most recently defeating the Washington Commanders. The Bears still have a minus-15 point differential, but there is no question that they have shown considerable improvement in recent weeks and are not pushovers.

Meanwhile, the Packers are arguably the most talented team in the division and have looked downright terrifying for spurts. They have also looked completely puzzling, like during their Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns (which remains the Browns' only win) or their overtime tie against the Dallas Cowboys the following Sunday, a game in which their vaunted defense surrendered 40 points.

Keefer did go on to say that he believes the Thanksgiving Day matchup between Green Bay and the Detroit Lions will ultimately determine the eventual NFC North champion (the Packers beat the Lions in Week 1), but he clearly is not entirely sold on Green Bay as a whole.

For as inconsistent as the Packers have looked, though, they still own a couple of really good wins (they also defeated the Commanders in Week 2), and it's important to remember that they are missing two of their top receivers in Jayden Reed and Christian Watson, both of whom are due back this season.

Green Bay will have a great chance to improve to 4-1-1 when it faces the struggling Arizona Cardinals this Sunday.

The Packers' schedule then gets considerably more difficult after that.
