The NFL season might only be two games in, but there's already some separation starting to take place in the NFC South.

While some teams pulled off unthinkable victories, others found ways to look worse than they did in Week 1. Here's a look at where things stand in the division following Week 2 of gridiron action.

    1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0)

This might be Tampa Bay's division to lose.

The Buccaneers have already had two comeback wins to start the year: they simply don't quit. In Monday night's 20-19 victory over the Houston Texans, quarterback Baker Mayfield led an 80-yard drive in roughly two minutes, which resulted in a go-ahead touchdown with just six seconds remaining. The team remained incredibly poised under pressure and made most of the right plays when necessary.

Mayfield is proving himself to be among the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the league, and Bucky Irving and Rachaad White back him up on the ground. Defensively, the Bucs gave up just 266 total yards and allowed Houston to convert only 2 of its 9 third down attempts.

    2. Atlanta Falcons (1-1)

The Falcons rebounded from a tough Week 1 loss with a dominant 22-6 win over the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings aren't bad -- I mean, they scored 27 points in Week 1 -- but Atlanta held them to just 120 passing yards and 78 rushing yards. Some of Minnesota's struggles came as a result of signal-caller JJ McCarthy, but you simply can't ignore a well-rounded Falcons defense that finished the game with six sacks, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.

Offensively, quarterback Michael Penix Junior didn't have the most productive day, but he didn't need to: the Falcons were led by standout running backs Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier, who combined for 219 yards. If that duo can put up those kinds of numbers every week, then the Falcons could be looking at a chance to take down Tampa Bay atop the division or a Wild Card spot in the playoffs.

    3. Carolina Panthers (0-2)

In all honesty, the Panthers and Saints should be tied for last place... but that would make these power rankings a bit less fun. Carolina gets a slight edge this week because they almost made things interesting late in the game before ultimately falling to the Arizona Cardinals by a score of 27-22.

The Panthers were down 20-3 at halftime, and it seemed like all hope was lost. Yet somehow, they outscored the Cardinals 19-7 in the second half, with a pair of touchdowns in the final five minutes to at least give them a chance.

Bryce Young passed for 328 yards, three touchdowns and one interception on the day. Oh, and he threw the ball 55 times. In what world does a professional quarterback -- no, any quarterback, even those who play in an Air Raid offense -- throw the ball that many times? In all fairness, the Panthers do have a deep wide receivers room to make up for some recent struggles on the ground.

Defensively, Carolina is in a pretty tough position. That unit has been unable to stop anything in the first two weeks of the season, and no player had a performance to write home about against the Cardinals.

It's a disappointing start for Panthers fans who might've truly believed that things would be significantly different this season.

    4. New Orleans Saints (0-2)

New Orleans lacks the consistency needed to make a professional football team successful, and it feels like it's been that way for years now. If quarterback Spencer Rattler has a good day, then the defense forgets the concept of making a tackle. If the defense forces five turnovers, the offense is forced to punt the ball away nearly every time. If the team has a solid day on both offense and defense, then Blake Grupe misses the game-winning field goal. The Saints have some great players, why can't they all just perform well at the same time?

The team lost to an injury-riddled San Francisco 49ers squad by a score of 26-21 on Sunday. That score might be close, but New Orleans was truly dominated in the matchup. Rattler had his best professional outing yet -- going 25-of-34 for 207 yards and three touchdowns -- and Alvin Kamara ran for 99 yards, but the defense allowed Niners quarterback Mac Jones to look like Peyton Manning out there.

Something's got to give eventually, right?
