There’s no sugar coating it. It hasn’t been a good end to the 2025 season for the Los Angeles Angels, and their most recent 10-game road trip has summed up their season perfectly.
The Halos started their road trip in Seattle against the Mariners. They were quickly swept by their division rivals, closing off the series getting battered to a score of 11-2. From there, the Angels flew to Milwaukee.
Angels fans could have guessed how this series went, facing a Brewers team that holds the best record in baseball. As expected, the Angels didn’t put up much of a fight against the Brewers, getting swept yet again in the three-game series. The Angels were outscored by Milwaukee to a score of 23-6 in the series.
At least, the Halos would fly to Denver from Milwaukee to take on the Colorado Rockies, the worst team, by far, in Major League Baseball. Coming into the series, the Rockies recorded 112 losses in 2025. Still, the Angels managed to lose the series to the Rockies, losing two of three games.
During their road trip, the Angels recorded some abysmal statistics. During the 10-game stretch, Los Angeles struck out 137 times at the plate for an average of 13.7 times per game. They hold the title of the worst team in the MLB when it comes to striking out.
In the 10 games, the Angels were outscored 58-28. A 30-run differential across just 10 games speaks volumes about the state of the club.
The Angels did clinch something during their trip, but it certainly wasn’t the postseason. Instead, the Halos clinched their 10th straight season of a losing record and their 11th straight season missing the playoffs.
Angels fans have had enough –– they’ve had enough for a decade now. They aren’t mincing their words about the organization, from the manager to the owner to the general manager.
2025 has been yet another typical Angels season that many have come to expect, and their most recent road trip sums this franchise up perfectly. Let’s see if they can at least end their season on a positive note, as they wrap up 2025 against the Kansas City Royals and the Houston Astros. They begin their three-game series with Kansas City on Tuesday at 6:40 p.m. PST.
