Jose Bautista, who is an organizational legend for his bat flip in the 2015 playoffs, walked out with country music's biggest star on Friday night.

Toronto Blue Jays legend Jose Bautista walked out with country music star Morgan Wallen for his show Friday night at Rogers Centre.

Wallen's walk-outs have become appointment viewing, as he usually pairs with a city-wide hero for the introduction to his show. He didn't walk out with anyone on Thursday night, so you knew that Friday would have to be big, and it was.

In recent shows in Foxboro, Mass., Wallen walked out with New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel one night and Super Bowl-winning tight end Rob Gronkowski another. He's also recently walked out with Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett, Las Vegas Raiders part-owner Tom Brady and former Seattle Seahawks star running back Marshawn Lynch.

Wallen is undeniably the king of country, at least for the moment, and he has an affinity for baseball.

He said the following to Nashville Lifestyles in 2021:

My mom said I never played with toys or games or anything, it was always music or sports. As I got a little older, sports took over, because when you’re that age it’s cooler to play sports than it is to play music. I would still listen to a lot of music and still loved it, but I didn’t take as much part in it as I did before. And then once my baseball career was over—I was supposed to play in college, got hurt—I went through a period where I was trying to figure out what I was going to do.

He's also written a song about the 1998 Atlanta Braves.

    About Jose Bautista

A member of the Blue Jays' Level of Excellence, Bautista spent 10 magical seasons in Toronto, hitting 288 home runs there and driving in 766 runs. In total, he spent 15 years in the big leagues with the Jays, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Mets, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Atlanta Braves, Kansas City Royals, Philadelphia Phillies and Baltimore Orioles.

A six-time All-Star and a three-time Silver Slugger, he helped lead the Jays to the 2015 and 2016 American League Championship Series.

Hit bat flip in the 2015 Division Series is a long-lasting memory for the Jays organization, and Wallen imitated that as part of the walk-out.

Wallen will continue his "I'm the Problem Tour," in Canada, going to Edmonton, Alberta next.
