The Los Angeles Dodgers’ offensive dominance throughout the 2025 season has been widely recognized, as the team received five nominations for the annual Silver Slugger Awards. These honors celebrate the best offensive players at each position in both leagues, and this year’s list features familiar Dodgers names.
Freddie Freeman leads the group, earning another nomination at first base after another outstanding season at the plate. The veteran slugger has remained one of baseball’s most consistent hitters, blending elite contact skills with reliable power. Freeman’s leadership and dependability have anchored the Dodgers’ lineup for the past four seasons. In 2025, he posted a .295 batting average, a .367 on-base percentage, 24 home runs, and a 141 OPS+, further solidifying his reputation as one of the game’s most well-rounded hitters.
At third base, Max Muncy continues to represent the Dodgers after another strong, power-heavy season. Known for his patience and ability to hit to all fields, Muncy remains one of the most dangerous left-handed hitters in the National League. Despite missing time due to injury, he stays a key part of Los Angeles’ lineup, serving as a bridge between the top and middle of the order. He finished the season with a .243 batting average, .376 on-base percentage, 19 home runs, and a 136 OPS+ over 313 at-bats at-bats.
Behind the plate, Will Smith earned another nomination at catcher. Long recognized as one of baseball’s most well-rounded backstops, Smith once again excelled both offensively and defensively, handling one of MLB’s top pitching staffs while putting up elite numbers at the plate. Despite missing some time this season, he posted a .296 batting average, .404 OBP, 17 home runs, and a 152 OPS+, reaffirming his place among the game’s best offensive catchers.
Meanwhile, Shohei Ohtani earned a nomination as designated hitter after his first full season in Dodger Blue. Following his record-breaking contract last winter, Ohtani lived up to expectations, showcasing elite bat speed, jaw-dropping power, and an ability to change games with a single swing. His 2025 campaign set multiple franchise records and fueled the Dodgers’ late-season surge. Ohtani hit .282 with a .392 OBP, 179 OPS+, and an impressive 55 home runs, surpassing his previous career high.
Rounding out the list, the Dodgers were also named finalists for the Team Silver Slugger Award, which recognizes the most productive lineup in each league. With powerful bats throughout the order, the Dodgers consistently ranked among MLB’s leaders in batting average, home runs, and runs scored.
The 2025 Silver Slugger Award winners will be announced on November 6, as the Dodgers aim to collect even more hardware for a franchise already known for offensive excellence.
