The Seattle Mariners have an almost completely full pool of free agents and financial flexibility to shore up the roster for 2026.

The Mariners still need to find an answer for second base, third base and bullpen help after they signed first baseman Josh Naylor to a five-year, $92.5 million contract.

Seattle added a potentially interesting arm to their pitching staff on Thursday.

The Mariners signed Venezuelan right-handed pitcher Jose Gabriel Torres from his Mexican League team Leones de Yucatan.

The 25-year-old righty made 12 appearances this season (five starts) and posted a 3.48 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 12 innings pitched.

Seattle has brought in several minor league pitchers with intriguing stuff this offseason. Those pitchers may get extended opportunities in spring training due to the 2026 World Baseball Classic, which will overlap with Cactus League competition.
