The Cleveland Cavaliers are back home after a pit stop in Atlanta, taking on the Boston Celtics! I'll be live updating this page throughout the night.

The Cavs will get back Craig Porter Jr., but will be missing Jarrett Allen (right finger strain), Lonzo Ball (rest), Larry Nance Jr. (right calf), Sam Merrill (right wrist sprain), Chris Livingston, and Max Strus. The Celtics won't have Derrick White and Neemias Queta, and Jayson Tatum remains out.

    Starters:

Celtics - Pritchard, Brown, Hauser, Walsh, Tillman

Cavs - Garland, Mitchell, Tyson, Hunter, Mobley

    FIRST QUARTER

Cleveland's down 13-2 out of the gate, and Payton Pritchard has hit three after three. Cavs looking sleepy.

De'Andre Hunter's got eight quick ones after a couple of threes. Darius Garland doing a good job of getting into the heart of the defense and spraying out.

Donovan Mitchell, look out! Huge two-hand slam.

Craig Porter Jr. and Nae'Qwan Tomlin changed the energy real quick. Cavs got going in the latter half of the quarter. They're down 28-26. Anfernee Simons gave Boston some good minutes there.

    SECOND QUARTER

The Cavs have woken up. They've turned over Boston nine times already and have gotten into the open floor for 11 transition points. Good minutes from the young guys so far.

Cleveland is taking advantage of the Celtics playing last night. You can see it in the way the wine-and-gold are attacking the ball for second chances and defensively before it gets to the receiver.

That was a pure lack of focus down the stretch. No reason the Cavs should be going into the locker room down by three possessions. They played well that quarter and it all went away. Boston up 58-51.

    THIRD QUARTER

The Cavs are in some kind of rut, but at least Evan Mobley's looking like his usual self over the last couple of games. Other than Donovan Mitchell, Craig Porter Jr., Nae'Qwan Tomlin, and Tyrese Proctor shouldn't be the only ones playing with urgency.

That last fastbreak where only one other Cavalier ran with Mitchell is exactly what I mean.

Cavs are hanging their heads and look like they don't know what's gonna get them out of this spell.

Mitchell and Mobley are trying to help dig Cleveland out of this hole, but Pritchard is en fuego and Jaylen Brown is getting downhill. While there is plenty of game left, the mood's gotta change.

Jaylon Tyson's got five triples in this game and he's giving Boston problems defensively and on those 50-50s.

Mobley's got 25 already going into the fourth quarter. That'll certainly do it. You've got to keep finding him in the final frame.

Cleveland closes the third on a 14-4 run to slice it to 90-79.

    FOURTH QUARTER

Proctor's giving them great run this evening, too. These young guys, man. Cavs cut it to 92-88.

Tough night at the office for Darius Garland.

Cavs lost all of their momentum as soon as Proctor and Tomlin came out of the game. This one needed more Craig Porter Jr., too, but Cleveland's probably watching his minutes after coming back from a hamstring injury.

Credit Cleveland for fighting until the end here, but will it be too little too late? Nae'Qwan Tomlin's been huge closing this game after Hunter rolled his ankle and had to leave.

Mitchell inbounds to Mobley, who misses the fadeaway with 0.6 seconds left. Cavs fall to 12-9.
