Starters:
Cavs- Mitchell, Merrill, Hunter, Mobley, Allen
Bucks - Cunningham, Robinson, Thompson, Harris, Duren
FIRST QUARTER
Jarrett Allen with seven points, two buckets from De'Andre Hunter to start the game. Dre's initiating a lot early. Pistons have a couple threes from Duncan Robinson and going to Tobias Harris on the block. Sam Merrill bodying up well!
Craig Porter Jr. and Dean Wade coming in together to get Allen and Donovan Mitchell. Remember, no Lonzo Ball tonight on the second night of a back-to-back. It's 16-14 Pistons about five minutes into this game.
Jaylon Tyson in for Sam Merrill, who's got two triples.
Two fouls on Hunter, so he'll sub out, but a HIGH usage for him in his first nine minutes. Has five points, five assists, and three rebounds. Not making his shots, but a ton of creation.
Basketball's evolution is fascinating. Mitchell screens for Allen at the top of the perimeter, and J.A. threads a perfect pass over the top back to him for an easy lay. It's 24 all at the 2:38 mark.
Porter-Mitchell-Tyson-Wade-Allen is the five out there to finish the quarter.
The Cavs don't have a single steal, but they've gotten the Pistons to turn it over five times. Cleveland's scored nine points off those thus far.
Craig Porter Jr.'s not playing around this year. His demeanor is just different. Defensively and on the glass. Four rebounds for him in seven minutes, including two offensive boards.
Donovan Mitchell was weaving from right to left in that quarter-closing stint. Cavs had 10 assists on 12 field goals in the opening frame.
END 1Q: Cavs 33, Pistons 24
CLE: Mitchell 11p. Hunter 5p, 5a, 3r. Allen 9p, 2r. Merrill 6p.
DET: Duren 4p, 3r, 2a. Robinson 6p. Thompson 4p, 3r.
SECOND QUARTER
Tyrese Proctor in the game with Larry Nance Jr after a DNP-CD last game. The five now: Proctor-Mitchell-Tyson-Nance-Mobley.
About three minutes into the period, Cleveland went to the jumbo lineup with CP at point. Hunter at the 2, Wade at the 3, Nance at the 4, and Mobley at the 5.
This quarter's been ugly as hell, quite frankly. Free throws and missed shots. The Pistons are on a mega drought and there's a lid on the rim. Cavs up 41-26 with 6:22 left in the first half.
Pistons score their first field goal in 11 minutes of game time on a Duncan Robinson lay-in at the 5:01 mark. The last made Detroit basket was with 4:04 left in the first quarter.
Merrill's on a heater on each end of the court. It's been a blast to watch how he's matured since his G League time in Cleveland.
Kenny Atkinson calls for time at 3:06. Cavs up 50-35 after Detroit finally strings together consecutive scores.
Cavs close the half with Mitchell hitting a floater going out of bounds. Since the close of the first period, this has been a throttling. Cade Cunningham has been held in check (1 of 10) and the Pistons haven't been able to figure it out.
Cleveland doubled up Detroit on free-throw attempts (24 to 12) and assists (16 to 8). Also, Dre's six dimes already matches his career high.

THIRD QUARTER
Road MVP chants for Mitchell. Gotta love it. It's gotten bad in a hurry here for the home team.
Four fouls each on Thompson, Harris, and Duren and we've barely begun the second half. The Pistons have 21 as a team, while Cleveland has 12.
Mitchell's got this Motown crowd oohing and aahing more than they're booing. He's putting those dribble-and-weave moves on display tonight. He's got 22 points in 20 minutes, making all six of his attempts in the key.
Merrill went back to the locker room during that last stint the Cavs had.
As of the 4:37 mark of this period, the Cavs are doubling up the Pistons in points in the paint. Mitchell's got a bunch of those.
Turnover-heavy third for Cleveland, who's got seven this quarter.
Jarrett Allen got Isaiah Stewart on a fastbreak slam after a Dean Wade steal. That was pictureesque.
END 3Q: Cavs 90, Pistons 66
CLE: Allen 20p, 7r, 2a, stl. Mitchell 27p, 1a. Hunter 13p, 6a, 5r. Mobley 10p, 10r, 5a, 3blk, stl. Merrill 11p, 2stl, 1r, 1a, stl. Porter 4p, 6r, 2a, 2stl. Wade 5p, 6r, 3stl, 2a.

FOURTH QUARTER
Sam Merrill (right hip contusion) is out for the remainder of tonight's game, per the Cavs.
J.B. Bickerstaff emptied the bench, but the Cavs kept Mobley and Mitchell in. Now at the 8:10 mark of the fourth quarter, Detroit fans are heading for the exits. It got out of hand in a hurry after the Pistons' fast start.
Luke Travers and Thomas Bryant are making their season debuts with six minutes to go.
Donovan Mitchell and De'Andre Hunter are cracking up as the Thomas Bryant fan club roars for his dunk and putback.
FINAL: Cavs 116, Pistons 95.
