The Cleveland Cavaliers are a mess right now.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have started the season 15-14 and the main boss is not happy.

According to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com, Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert is unhappy with the start the Wine and Gold have gotten off to.

The Cavaliers have the most expensive team in the NBA this season, so you can understand why Gilbert is unhappy. He's paying a lot of money for a mediocre team.

Cleveland had the best record in the East last season. They swept the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs but lost to the Indiana Pacers in the second round in five games.

The Cavaliers haven't advanced past the second round of the playoffs since 2018. That was LeBron James' final season in Cleveland.

If the regular season ended today, the Cavaliers would be in the NBA play-in tournament as the eighth seed. They are 10th in the NBA in points per game, 19th in points per game allowed, 11th in offensive rating, 15th in defensive rating and 12th in net rating.

Fedor reports that Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley are the only untouchable players on the Cavaliers. That means Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen could be traded if Cleveland doesn't turn things around.

If the Cavaliers can't win the East this season, Gilbert and Koby Altman should blow up the roster in the offseason. Why? Because if Cleveland can't win the conference with Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton and Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum out, they won't win it next season when both All-Stars will be back from their Achilles tears.

The Cavaliers' future is one to watch closely. We could see some trades happen if Kenny Atkinson and Co. don't rise in the standings. This roster is too expensive and talented to be 15-14. There appears to be a disconnect going on behind the scenes.
