Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller got hurt against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Not only did the Charlotte Hornets blow a big lead to the Philadelphia 76ers and lose on Saturday, but small forward Brandon Miller also got injured.

Miller suffered a left shoulder injury and didn't return to the game.

During his postgame media session with reporters, Hornets head coach Charles Lee opened up about Miller's injury.

Miller played only nine minutes against the Sixers. He finished with four points and one assist.

A talented two-way wing, Miller appeared in just 27 games last season. He underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist in January.

Miller averaged 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists for the Hornets last season while shooting 40.3% from the field, 35.5% from beyond the arc and 86.1% from the free-throw line. He was the second overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Alabama.

In the Hornets' first game of the season against the Brooklyn Nets, Miller put up 25 points and seven assists in 30 minutes of action. Everyone within the Charlotte organization is praying that Miller didn't suffer another serious injury.

The Sixers outscored the Hornets 39-25 in the fourth quarter and won the game by a final score of 125-121. Charlotte was led in scoring by All-Star point guard LaMelo Ball, who finished with 27 points. The talented playmaker also had nine rebounds and eight assists.

The Hornets are back in action on Sunday when they take on the Washington Wizards, who are 1-1. It will be fascinating to see if Miller plays.

Miller has career averages of 18.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists. The Hornets haven't made the playoffs since 2016. They haven't had a winning record since the 2021-22 season.
