Luka Dončić has settled in well with the Los Angeles Lakers in his first full season with the team.

Luka Dončić has been playing at an MVP-level so far this season with the Los Angeles Lakers, averaging 34.4 points, 8.9 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game. His team has been following suit as the Lakers have risen to a 10-4 record early this season while contending against tough competition in the Western Conference.

Something that's been apparent with Dončić and the Lakers this has been the team's chemistry. Dončić came to the team under tumultuous circumstances after he was unexpectedly traded by the Dallas Mavericks last season. Dončić has spoken at length before about how he expected to be a Maverick for life, so suddenly being sent elsewhere was likely a shock.

Now in his first full season as a Laker, Dončić has had the time to settle in to his new surroundings and reflect on the circumstances that brought him there, and the comfort he has shown with the Lakers has been undeniable.

    The Lakers' Chemistry

"It's great chemistry. When I came I was probably the more quiet, trying to get to know people. But right now I'm just being myself, just joking around a lot, trash talking. I think one of the biggest things for the team to win is have great chemistry and I think we have that," Dončić said (via X).

Dončić can be seen laughing on the sidelines with his teammates and joking in Instagram comment sections. He's appeared to have become especially close to Austin Reaves, who has become an elite player and a major piece of the team himself.

There's a long season ahead of the Lakers and many trials that await them, and the chemistry and connection they have both on and off the court will be crucial for the team to maintain their spirit and longevity. There's also the return of Lebron James coming soon, completing the Lakers' Big Three for the first time this season.

Dončić has made a new home for himself in Los Angeles and has given fans and teammates alike the performance they dreamed of when the blockbuster trade first happened. Naturally, Dončić will be relied on as a star player, leader, and face of the team, and his comfort in those roles will be of paramount importance.

He appears to love being a Laker, and the chemistry he's built up with his team is translating into the win column, and there's surely more to come in that regard as the season marches on.
