The Orlando Magic made a new addition to the roster Sunday.
They signed free agent guard Johnell Davis.

"The Orlando Magic have signed free agent Johnell Davis, President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal are not disclosed.
Davis (6’4”, 210, 5/23/01) played in 34 games (29 starts) last season with the University of Arkansas, averaging 12.0 ppg., 3.4 rpg., 1.6 apg. and 1.44 stlpg. in 31.7 minpg. He was named to the 2025 NCAA West Regional All-Tournament Team.
Undrafted by an NBA franchise, Davis played in 162 career games (91 starts) during five seasons with both Florida Atlantic University (2020-24) and the University of Arkansas (2024-25), averaging 11.3 ppg., 4.5 rpg., 1.7 apg. and 1.26 stlpg. in 24.7 minpg. In 2023-24 while at FAU, he was named the American Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Year and to the All-American Athletic Conference First Team. In 2022-23, Davis earned All-Conference USA First Team honors and was the C-USA Sixth Man of the Year.
Davis will wear #28 with the Orlando Magic.
In addition, Orlando has waived Justin Minaya. He was originally signed as a free agent on September 2 and did not appear in the Magic’s preseason game on October 4.
Orlando’s roster remains at 21 players."
