Well, any talk of Malik Beasley returning to Detroit was short-lived.

Just yesterday, Beasley posted an encouraging video that seemed to indicate he would be playing in the NBA this season and would be back on a team's roster soon. Now, the proverbial team was not specified, but that was always going to be the case at this stage, though Shams Charania said last week that the Cleveland Cavaliers are interested.

However, Beasley posted a message today that indicates he still has some room to go before he's back in the league.

Beasley was reportedly advised by his lawyer not to talk about his presumably still-pending NBA investigation into gambling activity... which is probably pretty good advice. So, obviously Beasley hasn't been cleared by the league yet, though he is out of hot water with the Feds. Beasley would be well served to stay low and continue working on his game so that he's ready to quickly join a team once the regular season begins.
