The Phoenix Suns suffered another devastating road loss to the Denver Nuggets.

After the Phoenix Suns had an embarrassing showing on the road in Los Angeles against the Clippers, they continue their road trip to Denver facing the Nuggets, with Coach Jordan Ott's main focus being team play and defense.

The team play was once again there and showing to be able to move the ball around the court. The turnovers however keep becoming a problem which end up in a lot of transition buckets for the opposing teams. Phoenix had 20 turnovers in this game to Denver's 16.

Phoenix's field goal percentage once again being outshot by their opponents. Denver shot for over 50-percent from the field while Phoenix did shoot better with 43-percent, but the turnovers and being out rebounded was to much to keep them in the game.

Nuggets star Nikola Jokic had his second triple-double of the season despite being quiet from the field. Jamal Murray did help out the "Joker" scoring 23 points of his own as well.

Two games in a row to start the road trip, the Suns have lost by 20-plus points. Defense was Coach Ott's main focus going into the season. Self-inflicted play has harmed the Suns with not being able to control the ball and protect it with smart ball handling and allowing fastbreaks all throughout the game.

Effort from Devin Booker is not at all to be questioned, if you watched the game you would had seen strong drives to the hole, shots over multiple defenders and hustle on defense.

Booker shot for 10 of 16 with a total of 31 points in the lose. He also shot a perfect 9/9 from the free throw line, with seven assists. Devin Booker does continue to have issues bringing up the ball as he had a total of nine turnovers in this game. So even though his hustle is there and three point shooting was better with a total of 40-percent from three, he continues to cost his team and give up easy points.

Coach Jordan Ott continues to believe the defensive play is there. The sloppy play/turnovers and lazy fouls need to be cleaned up and the Suns could be talking about a different start of this season than it has been.

Looking to end the road trip on a victory note, the Phoenix Suns go to face the Utah Jazz, hoping for a win.
