The only remaining roster question going into the 2025-2026 season is the final two-way contract player. OKC’s 15-man roster will be comprised of the exact same squad that won the title in June, minus Dillon Jones and plus Thomas Sorber. Unfortunately, the Thunder rookie big man out of Georgetown will miss the entire season due to an ACL injury. Two of the three two-way deals have been taken by center Branden Carlson and 2nd round rookie Brooks Barnhizer.
Oklahoma City tips off its preseason with a road game against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday, October 5. The teams will meet again in Oklahoma City for the Thunder’s preseason home opener at the Paycom Center on Thursday, October 9.
Between Sam Presti’s preseason presser last week, media day on Monday, training camp this week and the preseason tipping off next Sunday, it’s safe to say that the words OKC fans have been waiting for since the championship parade in June. The Thunder are officially back.
