After a timely week off, the Auburn Tigers return to action this week for a contest against the No. 10 Georgia Bulldogs at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

The Tigers are looking to bring their two-game losing skid to an end, and find a way into the win column against Georgia for the first time since 2017.

Auburn views this contest as an opportunity to pick up a statement victory in front of a fired-up home crowd.

"We can’t wait to be back in Jordan-Hare. Seventeenth straight sellout, which I think is a new record," said head coach Hugh Freeze. "We get to play a night game in a rivalry like this that dates back for years. Super exciting to our staff and to our kids and our fans, and I know it will be an incredible environment for us to go test ourselves against another top quality opponent."

Auburn has not had the opportunity to take on a conference opponent at home yet this season, as it played its first two SEC games on the road.

Freeze hopes returning to Jordan-Hare will gave the team a much-needed spark coming off the bye week.

"It will be fun to be at home for sure," Freeze said. "We haven’t handled the road as well as you would hope. But hopefully a home environment changes some things, the way we play." 

Freeze and company learned a lot during the bye week, but the most important thing is how much the Tigers want to turn the page and build some momentum for the rest of the season.

“The first thing, again, I’d say is that I’d love to put this behind us and move on to Georgia," Freeze said. "It starts with me and my staff being adequately prepared to not be behind the chains the whole night. We’ve done a really good job of taking care of the football, but now you look at the last two games and we certainly have put ourselves behind the chains way too much with some undisciplined penalties and questionable play calling that puts us behind the chains. We obviously either didn’t coach well enough to execute or just not good schematical plays."

Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT and ESPN will carry the broadcast.
