The No. 22 Auburn Tigers are preparing for their biggest test of the season so far as they head to Norman, Oklahoma for a showdown with the No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners.

Auburn is coming into this matchup already having a road game under its belt, something head coach Hugh Freeze believes is beneficial for his team.

"It's great becuase you can't simulate it any other way than to do it," Freeze said. "We played a good football team, and obviously this one will be more challenging with the loudness and chaos their people will create for us along with the really good team. Having that experience certainly helps."

Auburn has not picked up a road win over a ranked opponent since beating No. 17 Arkansas 38-23 in 2021. Having an opportunity to do so this weekend is something that Freeze and the Tigers are excited about. They know it will not be an easy task, however, as getting the job done on the road rarely is.

A lot will have to go according to plan for Auburn to get the job done, but Freeze is confident in his players and staff and believes in the work and preparation everyone has put in.

"I love our team, I really do. I love they way they've worked, I love the the way they've prepared," Freeze said. "I think you see from watching all of the games in this league parody is there. Road games make it more difficult. You gotta go find a way to win a few on the road. This is our first opportunity to do that and I think our kids are excited about it. Our coaches are excited, I love the way they've prepared. Now we've got to go test ourselves."

Kickoff between the Tigers and Sooners is set for 2:30 p.m. CT and ABC will carry the television broadcast.
