Following Auburn football's 16-10 loss against No. 9 Texas A&M on the road Saturday, fans of the Tigers have started to take to social media and voice their displeasure with the team, most significantly head coach Hugh Freeze.

There were even fans calling upon Athletics Director John Cohen to part ways with Freeze, but one of the most respected figures in college football believes Auburn would be wrong to do so.

During an appearance at the Monday Morning Quarterback Club, Freeze spoke with the media and explained how he has not lost confidence in Freeze. Additionally, he believes the results that Freeze brings to the table will be worth the wait if the Tigers remain patient.

"Even for Auburn fans, I would say your whole team has been impressive," Saban said. "I know you lost two really close games to top 10 teams on the road. I think Hugh Freeze is doing a great job, and if you continue to support him, that this team is going to come around."

Despite the struggles Auburn had against Texas A&M on the offensive side of the ball, Saban believes the Tigers have plenty of talent on that unit and it's only a matter of time before things fall in to place.

"If they can get the offensive line to play a little but better, they get a quarterback that can run, throw RPOs," Saban said. "They got recievers that can compete man to man."

Despite a less-than-ideal start to SEC play, Saban still likes the chances that Freeze and company have to right the ship.

"I think they'll be just fine," Saban said.

Auburn has a timely bye week, allowing it time to recover and prepare to take on No. 12 Georgia under the lights inside Jordan-Hare Stadium on Oct. 11, one of the highest profile contests the Tigers will have this season.
