Duke's Offense Rolled as the Blue Devils Handled Business Against Indiana State with a Matchup Against Kansas Looming.

Duke is Duke, yet again. Tonight in a 100-62 win over Indiana State, the Blue Devils hit triple digits for the second straight game. They scored 114 against Army just a couple of nights ago. That's the first time Duke has done that since December of 2017. Almost eight years ago. How's that for a stat?

Even though last year was going to be impossible to replicate for the Blue Devils in a year that featured an abnormal amount of talent on the floor at the same time with Cooper Flagg and co., we shouldn't be so quick to dismiss what the ceiling could be for this Duke team led by Cam Boozer and Isaiah Evans.

Cam Boozer continues to impress more and more each game. Tonight he finished with another double-double, going for 35 points and 11 Rebounds. Those 35 points puts him tied with Jared McCain and Zion Williamson with the second most points in a game by a freshman in Duke history. Cooper Flagg has the most with 42 points.

A couple other takeaways from tonight is how comfortable both Dame Sarr and Caleb Foster looked. We had a pretty good idea that Dame Sarr was going to be a threat defensively and likely the second best defender on the roster next to Maliq Brown, but the last couple of games he's found more of a groove offensively scoring in double digits both games.

Caleb Foster finished tonight with 14 points which is the most he's scored in a game since his 16 points against Pitt, two years ago as a freshman. Tonight doesn't necessarily mean that Foster is going to continue to put up those kind of numbers consistently, but this would be the time to do it.

With this being year three for Foster and Cayden Boozer coming off the bench, he made need to continue to put up similar numbers at a consistent clip to stay the starter. The point guard position will be fascinating to follow as the year moves forward.

We're seeing that this Duke team has the capability to erupt offensively at any time. Duke put together three different double-figure scoring runs over the course of the game tonight against Indiana State.

Duke will have a much different test next time they take the floor in Madison Square Garden against Kansas on Tuesday night.
