Duke recently welcomed three players to its 2026 high school class, but there's also reason to believe the list could grow in the upcoming days.

Duke has typically found a way to land some of the top talent in the country, and it sounds like that will continue to be the case with other players it can add after signing three players ranked in the top 100, according to 247 Sports.

Joe Tipton of On3 had some thoughts about where Duke stands on multiple recruits, including five-star shooting guard Jordan Smith Jr. He believes Duke is viewed as the frontrunner for Smith as of now.

“Five-Star SG Jordan Smith Jr.: Smith announced his final six schools back in August: Duke, Arkansas, Georgetown, Kentucky, Indiana, and Syracuse. The 6-2 shooting guard most recently took an unofficial visit to Syracuse, which was definitely something to note. Even so, Duke has been viewed as the frontrunner for several months. One program I wouldn’t rule out, though, is Arkansas,” he wrote.

As he touched on, it wouldn't be surprising to see him land with Arkansas, and it's fair to mention what John Calipari has done with guards in the past.

Many Calipari guards not only have been drafted into the NBA, but have also found a ton of success after departing from his programs.

Another name that he brought up was Deron Rippey Jr., who many view as one of the other top players in the country, currently ranked as the No. 1 point guard in America and the No. 12 overall player in the class, according to 247 Sports.

He expects Rippey to make his decision toward the end of December and believes there isn't a leader as of now.

“Five-Star PG Deron Rippey Jr.: Rippey announced his final five schools earlier this week: Tennessee, NC State, Duke, Miami, and Texas. From that group, Tennessee, NC State, and Duke look to be in the strongest position. I expect Rippey to make his decision sometime toward the end of December. It’s a pretty tight race and I’m not ready to pick a leader.”
