The Florida Gators (2-3) travel to face the No. 5 Texas A&M Aggies (5-0) this Saturday at 7 pm. The game will be broadcast on ESPN. UF is coming off an upset victory over Texas, while A&M just beat Mississippi State.
Here is everything you need to know about the Aggies ahead of the road SEC matchup for UF.
2025 Results: The Aggies have been one of college football's early success stories, unexpectedly starting the season 5-0 and soaring up the polls. Their last three games include back-to-back wins over SEC foes and a tight 41-40 victory over No. 16 Notre Dame back in Week Three.
A&M is out-gaining opponents by an average of 177 yards per game: 466.8 yards gained to 289.6 yards allowed.
The A&M offense has been up-and-down under second-year head coach Mike Elko, but the defensive side of the ball has performed admirably and come up with big stops when needed, even if conceding more points than it would prefer.
By The Numbers: The Aggies are scoring 34.8 points per game (42nd in the country) and allowing 21 points per game (50th). The defensive numbers don't show the entire picture, however. After conceding a combined 86 points in their first three games, the Aggies only allowed 19 total points in their most recent games, against Auburn and Mississippi State.
Leading Passer: Marcel Reed - 86-for-144, 1,256 yards, 11 touchdowns, three interceptions
Leading Receiver: Mario Craver - 30 catches, 557 yards, four touchdowns, 18.6 yards per catch
Leading Rusher: Le'Veon Moss - 65 rushes, 343 yards, five touchdowns, 5.3 yards per rush
Leading Tackler: Linebacker Taurean York - 34 tackles
Game Analysis: Florida's defense has largely held serve against some talented offenses - including ones more successful than the Aggies. A&M isn't scoring at the clip of other elite teams, but star receiver Mario Craver is one of the best playmakers in the country. He's capable of single-handedly changing a game.
On the other side of the ball, UF will hope its offense looks like it did last week, and will hope A&M's defense looks more like its struggling early-season version. Interceptions have been an issue for UF quarterback DJ Lagway, but the Aggies have only forced two through five games.
If Florida plays like it did last week, then the numbers say the Gators have a shot at their first road win of the year.
