Florida State vs. Clemson is a matchup between two once-proud programs that have fallen on a hard couple years. The team with the psychological edge may be the most likely winner this Saturday.

The Florida State Seminoles (4-4) play the Clemson Tigers (3-5) this Saturday in South Carolina. Kickoff in Memorial Stadium is set for 7 p.m. on the ACC Network. Florida State is coming off a 42-7 victory over Wake Forest last Saturday, its first win since September. Clemson is coming off back-to-back losses to Duke and SMU.

Here's everything you need to know about Clemson before this weekend's game.

Clemson Tigers - the Names and Numbers to Know

2025 results: Clemson entered the season with high expectations under head coach Dabo Swinney, but the program has continued the downward trajectory seen in recent years. Clemson's two ACC wins in six attempts so far this season have effectively eliminated the Tigers from any meaningful postseason action.

By The Numbers: The Tigers are scoring 28.4 points per game (71st of 136 nationwide), while allowing 24 points per game (65th of 136). Clemson's offense is moving the ball, averaging 420.6 yards per game. However, the Tigers are turning the ball over an average of almost twice per game. Despite the turnovers, star receiver Bryant Wesco leads the ACC in touchdown catches, while Clemson is outgaining opponents by an average of 70.3 yards per game.

Leading Passer: Cade Clubnik - 160-for-238, 1,915 yards, 13 touchdowns, five interceptions

Leading Receiver: Bryant Wesco, Jr. - 31 catches, 537 yards, six touchdowns, 17.3 yards per catch

Leading Rusher: Adam Randall - 101 rushes, 522 yards, six touchdowns, 5.2 yards per rush

Leading Tackler: Linebacker Sammy Brown - 58 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss

Game Analysis: Both teams in this game are capable of greatness and disappointment alike. In a matchup like this, the psychology may matter more than the relative level of talent. Neither program is pleased with how the season has gone to date.

FSU had a bounce-back against a tough Wake Forest team last week. If that continues, then the Seminoles could be bowl eligible by the end of Saturday night. If it doesn't, head coach Mike Norvell could be looking for a job. The margins are thin.
