Good afternoon Hawkeye fans!
I want to welcome you to Hawkeye Roundtable, Roundtable Global Sports Network's new site dedicated to in-depth Iowa Hawkeyes coverage. We'll have daily coverage of Iowa football, men's basketball, and women's basketball game coverage, as well as features, breaking news, recruiting, transfer portal, and so much more!
If you're wondering what Roundtable is, you're not alone. I didn't know much about Rountable until recently, but that's because we're a new (established in September) global sports network dedicated to producing top coverage of teams and providing an online community for fans. We have sites covering the four major professional sports leagues in the United States (MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL) and NCAA athletics, as well as individual team sites for all of those teams. When the company made the decision to add an Iowa site, that's where I come in.
HOW YOU CAN JOIN THE COMMUNITY
Not only is Hawkeye Roundtable focused on delivering you the best Iowa Hawkeyes coverage, we're also going to provide you with a fantastic opportunity to interact with other Hawkeye fans. Each day, you'll see a community post from me (usually a tweet or message about something Iowa related) that you can comment on and discuss the latest Hawkeye game.
There's no cost to become a member (all of our written content is also free), you simply have to go to our website, click the gold LOGIN button on the top of the page, click the three lines on the top left of the page, then go to teams, find our page, and click the blue join button located on the right side of your screen.
That's it! Now you're able to write any community post that you want and chat with other diehard fanatics.
ABOUT ME
Hello, everyone! My name is Brad Schultz, and I am the publisher of Hawkeye Roundtable. If you recognize my name, that's because I've been in Hawkeye media for three years with The Daily Iowan, the University of Iowa's fantastic student newspaper. I began my career as a sports reporter covering Iowa golf, women's wrestling, and baseball before moving on to the football and men's basketball beats in 2024. In my tenure as Sports Editor, I increased the DI's multimedia coverage by filming popular pregame and postgame reaction videos for our social media sites, while also adding a radio presence by creating and co-hosting Press Box Banter, a weekly one-hour radio show on KRUI 89.7 discussing the latest in Iowa Hawkeye athletics.
My job has sent me to some incredible places, including historic stadiums such as the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the Rose Bowl, Camp Randall Stadium, Nebraska's Memorial Stadium, and the Breslin Center on the basketball side. Traveling is always a great part of the job, but my favorite part of this job is to tell the amazing stories of Iowa's incredible student-athletes. There's so many stories to tell, and I'm glad that I get to share them with you guys. Plus, I grew up a huge Hawkeye fan and am a native Iowan, so I have a firsthand understanding of your passion for Iowa sports and am determined to give you the best coverage possible.
My Twitter handle (yes, I'm always going to call it Twitter) can always be found in my bio, but to make things easier for everyone, I'm going to put it here
Be sure to follow me so you stay in the know for anything and everything Hawkeyes!
I believe we are going to build something special on this site, and I can't wait to have you along for the ride!
Sincerely,
Brad Schultz, Publisher
