Kansas men’s basketball landed another class of 2026 commitment on Wednesday afternoon. Four-star small forward Trent Perry announced his commitment to Kansas.

The 6-foot-5 forward from Frisco, Texas, chose Kansas over Maryland and TCU. Perry currently plays basketball for Link Academy in Branson, Missouri, and Mokan Elite in Kansas City.

Perry announced his commitment live on the CBS Sports College Basketball YouTube Channel.

“Perry has all the makings of an elite role player,” wrote Adam Finkelstein, 247 Sports Director of Scouting. “He’s broadly built, has a naturally strong frame, big hands, high shoulders, and extremely long arms with a 7-foot-1 wingspan.”

Perry joined Taylen Kinney as the second commitment in the Jayhawks’ class of 2026. Kansas Assistant coach Kurtis Townsend was Perry’s main recruiter. He took his official visit to Lawrence on Sept. 12 and has now decided to make Kansas his home.
