Soon enough, Kansas fans will get to play as the Jayhawks in the new NBA 2K26 video game. Kansas basketball will be included in an expansion that adds several college teams to the game. This extra content will feature both the men’s and women’s teams.

There will be three other Big 12 programs alongside Kansas, including Arizona, Baylor and Houston. This extra download will include 16 college programs and is set to be available early next year.

According to Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle, the NBA 2K scan truck is on the Houston campus, and the players will go through scanning technology this week. There have been no reports of when the Kansas team will be scanned into the game.

This isn’t just a small update or a fan-created roster; it’s a full-scale, official title featuring real schools, authentic branding, and potentially real players in the future as NIL agreements continue to grow in college gaming.
