It's game day in Baton Rouge, both for the LSU Tigers football on the field and Tigers baseball head coach Jay Johnson on the recruiting trail.

Johnson posted his signature tiger emojis on social media, which meant it was only a matter of time until some recruiting news broke. This time, it was pitcher Hayden Morris out of JUCO school Blinn College per the player's X account.

Morris is a 6-foot-8, 265-pound mountain of a hurler out of Oak Ridge High School in Conroe, TX. He made 19 appearances last year and posted a 4.17 ERA with 106 strikeouts in 86.1 innings of work. Pitching wins don’t tell the full story, but he did post an impressive 10-0 record.
