It's time for kickoff for the LSU Tigers to host the Florida Gators in the first SEC game of the season!

The Tigers are 2-0 and the No. 3 team in the country, but without a convincing win. The Clemson Tigers loss earlier today takes away even more credibility. LSU will be looking for a decisive victory on Saturday night.

The Gators lost last week to the USF Bulls, so they will be hoping to avoid their season spiraling.

Here's a rundown of everything happening throughout the game:

    1st Quarter

    • The Tigers will start the game with the ball.
    • Three and out, not the start the offense wanted. Florida got a nice return and will start at their own 39.
    • Devastating loss for LSU as Whit Weeks gets tossed from the game for a targeting penalty.
    • A Mansoor Delane blitz forces a Gators field goal, but the loss of Weeks hurts far more than the now 3-0 deficit.
    • Another three and out for the Tigers. This offense looks sluggish out of the gate yet again.
    • Sophomore safety Dashawn Spears had a massive interception to halt the heavy Florida momentum.
    • Garrett Nussmeier and the LSU offense had yet another three-and-out. The defense must be gassed at this point.
    • The Gators found a broken coverage with the running back for an 87-yard touchdown, but it was called back on a holding penalty.
    • The Tigers finally get a first down as Nussmeier finds the speedy Barion Brown for 18 yards.
    • As they take one step forward, they take two steps back. A holding call and a false start kill the drive, but Damian Ramos will get a chance to kick a field goal once the second quarter begins.

    2nd Quarter

    • LSU gets their first points of the night off of a Ramos 47-yard field goal. Tied at 3-3.
    • Harold Perkins looking like Harold Perkins again has been a major win for the Tigers.
    • There has been a fair bit of miscommunication between Nussmeier and his receivers/backs in this game. Frustration is clear.
    • LSU is moving the ball with ease again. This has been their best drive. Completions of 8, 15, 23 and 9 has the Tigers at the edge of the red zone.
    • Nussmeier finds Zavion Thomas for a 23-yard touchdown pass, Thomas' first touchdown of the season. LSU up 10-3.
    • A perfect throw from DJ Lagway ties the game after a consistently effective drive. Tied at 10-10.
    • A 14-yard pass from Nussmeier to Aaron Anderson gets the offense near midfield and brings us to the two-minute warning.
    • Massive interception by AJ Haulcy gets LSU the ball back with just under 30 seconds to go at the Florida 40. Field goal range is more than possible.
    • A crucial pass interference on the Gators pushes the Tigers into field goal range.
    • A 40-yard field goal was pushed to a 45-yard field goal, but Ramos drills it down the middle. LSU up 13-10.

    3rd Quarter

    • The Tigers defense comes out of the gate with some fire. Tamarcus Cooley brings the pressure on Lagway and then Dahvon Keys (in for Whit Weeks) and Patrick Payton combine to bring the quarterback down.
    • Another three and out for the LSU offense.
    • What a night for Spears. He runs his second interception of the night back for six. Tigers lead 20-10.
    • West Weeks is down on the field after a play. Unclear what the injury is.
    • Jacobian Guillory with a massive sack, his first of the year.

    4th Quarter

    • LSU completes their longest passing play of the season to tight end Bauer Sharp for a 65-yard gain.
    • A Ju'Juan Johnson fumble was almost disastrous, but the Tigers pounce on it for a 17-yard loss.
    • Terrible decision from Nussmeier with a poor throw over the middle that is intercepted on what was already a lost drive. Should have just thrown in away, instead he gives Florida a chance.
    • LSU gets their get back on the ensuing drive as Lagway throws his fourth interception of the night, this time to Tamarcus Cooley.
    • A long run by Caden Durham allows the Tigers to ice this game.

    FINAL SCORE: LSU 20 - Florida 10
