Charles Huff listed by ESPN in "five coaches next up for Power Four job"

On Thursday, ESPN started the 100-day countdown to football season with a story with storylines and predictions for the upcoming season. The story featured predictions about coaches on the hot seat, rising coaches and postseason predictions.

Memphis head coach was featured in the rising coaches section, and he was listed as one of the "five coaches next up for a Power Four job." Huff was listed as the No. 4 coach on the list behind Navy's Brian Newberry, New Mexico's Jason Eck and UNLV's Dan Mullen, who was No. 1 on the list.

The story highlighted the upward trajectory for Memphis coaches, with the previous four taking Power Four jobs, and Huff's success at his previous two stops. It also highlighted Huff's home state, Maryland, and the fact that they could have an opening next offseason.

While Huff was listed No. 4 in the rising coaches portion, Maryland's Mike Locksley was listed as the No. 4 coach in the coaching hot seat category.

If Huff were to take a power four opening next offseason, it would likely mean success with the Tigers.

What do you think? Could Huff be on the move after one season? Are you surprised that ESPN listed him without coaching a single game at Memphis?
