The Miami Hurricanes continue to display dominance after their week three victory over the South Florida Bulls. Both teams entered the game undefeated, with a chance to potentially establish the momentum for the rest of their seasons.

It was the first time of the season that the Bulls entered a matchup as a ranked team, 18th in the AP polls. However, the Hurricanes were the clear favorites, but the victory would not come easily.

The Bulls had momentum after a stunning victory over the Florida Gators last Saturday. It left multiple sports media outlets thinking that the Hurricanes were in trouble. The narrative was that another upset could be on the horizon.

However, the Hurricanes prevailed after another dominating victory, with a final score of 49-12. The offense took over, finishing with a total of 576 yards, the most so far this season. Despite a nearly two-hour rain delay, the team remained in rhythm.

Quarterback Carson Beck came through with another strong performance. He completed 23 of 28 passes for 340 yards and three touchdowns. Despite two interceptions, the Hurricanes never backed down.

Running back Mark Fletcher Jr. made his mark on the game, as he rushed 16 times for 145 yards and two touchdowns.

The Hurricanes' defense showed up when it mattered most, only allowing one touchdown and holding the Bulls to seven of 19 third-down conversions.

After an update to the AP polls, the Bulls fall back out of the top 25. They'll be unranked, as well as their week four opponent, the South Carolina State Bulldogs.

As for the Hurricanes, they rose from fifth to fourth, only leaving the Ohio State Buckeyes, Penn State Nittany Lions, and Louisiana State Tigers ahead of them.

The Hurricanes will prepare for another exciting in-state battle against the Gators. They entered the season as a ranked team, but fell out after their upsetting defeat to the Bulls.

The Gators are coming off a heartbreaking defeat to the Tigers, with a final score of 20-10. Despite finishing with more yards, the game came down to errors. Gators quarterback DJ Lagway threw for five interceptions.

That could end up being an advantage for the Hurricanes heading into week four's matchup. If they manage to pressure Lagway, the defense can create sloppy turnovers.

Beck is proving himself to be one of the top quarterbacks on the college scene. After rehabbing from injury, he's only picking up the program from where they left off with Cam Ward.

It will be a thriller for the Hurricanes as they take the field on College Gameday for the first time since 2020.
