NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula suffered an apparent lower-leg injury against the Vanderbilt Commodores, and was carted off the field, ending his day.
Pribula attempted to power through Vanderbilt's defensive line on a goal line power carry, where he was met and simultaneously folded by multiple defenders, crunching and twisting his leg in the process.
Missouri had started the possession on Vanderbilt's 20-yard line following an interception from Damon Wilson, but couldn't capitalize by punching it through the end zone.
Pribula had thrown for 68 yards on 9-for-14 attempts, while tacking on an additional 10 yards on the ground against the Commodores.
Pribula had thrown for 1,685 yards on the season, rushed for 220 and scored` 16 total touchdowns.
Quarterback Sam Horn already suffered a season-ending injury after suffering a fractured tibia on his first snap of the season, leaving true freshman Matt Zollers as Pribula's backup, and now fill-in starter.
Zollers had thrown six passes for 75 yards and one touchdown on the season before entering the game against the Commodores. His completed four of his six passes for 27 yards on his first drive of the game, which ended in a missed 29-yard field goal from Robert Meyer.
