NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Missouri Tigers starting quarterback Beau Pribula has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2025 regular season with an ankle injury, per Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.

Pribula suffered an ankle injury on a fourth-down goal line rush, which his leg was folded and crushed by a pack of Vanderbilt defenders.

"Beau has no broken bones," head coach Eli Drinkwitz said. "But he did have an ankle injury that had to be popped back in."

Drinkwitz also said Pribula will receive an MRI tomorrow to specifically diagnose the injury.

Fellow Missouri quarterback Sam Horn suffered a season-ending leg injury in the first game of the season. Now, Pribula is in the same boat.

Pribula had thrown for 68 yards on 9-for-14 attempts, while tacking on an additional 10 yards on the ground against the Commodores. He'd also thrown for 1,685 yards on the season, rushed for 220 and scored 16 total touchdowns in his first season as a starter.

Starting center Connor Tollison had developed a relationship with Pribula in the pair's first season together. Tollison made an effort to talk to Pribula before he was carted off to the locker room.

"You don't deserve this," Tollison said. "You shouldn't be in this situation, but you are."

Tollison knew all too well what being in Pribula's situation felt like. Tollison tore his ACL while blocking against the Oklahoma Sooners Nov. 9, 2024, and missed the last four games of the season – bowl game included.

"I'm hurt for him," Tollison said. "I've been in that situation, it's not fun. You never know when your last play could be or your next play will be."

The Tigers captain had fallen, and the momentum of the game had shifted. In the blink of an eye, Missouri's game – and season – was turned upside down.

True freshman Matt Zollers stepped up for the biggest game of his career, and threw for 138 yards and one touchdown while completing 61% of his passes. He kept the Tigers in it until the last play, eventually falling 17-10, coming up short inches of the goal line on the final play of the game.

Despite his efforts, Missouri still fell short of the win.

"There's definitely disappointment," Tollison said. "How can it not be? Top-10 game on the road, you're right there. So there's definitely disappointment."

The Tigers will have to find a way to forge on without Pribula. They'll have a week to recuperate over the bye, but will host Texas A&M Nov. 8.
