The Tar Heel Roundtable Podcast Recaps UNC's Overtime Loss to Virginia and Reacts to the Tar Heels Exhibition with BYU.

Josh Graham and Will Dalton co-hosts the Tar Heel Roundtable podcast, which will release new episodes every week on the site. Here is what is in store on this week’s special pod:

    • Another game the Tar Heels were in a position to win. After a fumble at the goal line likely cost the Tar Heels a win at Cal, UNC kept it close with no. 16 Virginia and came just an inch away on a two point attempt in overtime from their first ACC and power four win of the season.
    • Is this program progress? If you're measuring based on not getting blown out the last two weeks then absolutely. If you're going off of Bill Belichick's 10 million dollar per year salary and having the highest paid GM in college football, in Michael Lombardi, then absolutely not.
    • UNC heads north on Halloween night for a matchup with Syracuse. With the Tar Heels looking how they have the last two weeks you could hesitantly call this a winnable game for UNC. Syracuse has struggled ever since losing their starting quarterback, Steve Angeli, for the season. They have lost four straight since then against Duke, SMU, Pitt, and Georgia Tech.
    • UNC is coming off a Friday night exhibition game with BYU. One of the main takeaways from a Tar Heel perspective is how much of a dude Caleb Wilson looks like. Tyler Hansbrough compared his play to that of Marvin Williams. There is a very good chance Caleb will end up being the Tar Heels' first lottery pick since 2019.
    • The other brewing story for the Tar Heels is the status of international transfer, Luka Bogavac. He was cleared by the NCAA last week, but he has not yet been cleared by UNC which is why we didn't see him play against BYU. It's certainly a situation growing more concerning with the season opener a week out.

In addition to the Tar Heel Roundtable Podcast, Graham and Dalton will also host weekly podcasts for other local teams in the state of North Carolina.

Both have covered UNC football and basketball for multiple years. In the professional ranks, they will produce content focusing on the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Hornets as well.

Roundtable would love to engage with you on the Tar Heels. Please comment on our posts and follow Graham (@JoshGrahamShow) and Dalton (@TheWillDalton) on X and Instagram.
