Football falters, yet progress ignites. Basketball's elite prospect looms. Dive into the latest Tar Heels highs and lows on the podcast.

The Tar Heel Roundtable Podcast Recaps Heart-Breaking Cal Loss and Looks Ahead to Basketball Showdown With BYU.

Josh Graham and Will Dalton co-hosts the Tar Heel Roundtable podcast, which will release new episodes every week on the site. Here is what is in store on this week’s special pod:

    • Finally, a close game. After being beaten 120-33 to in its first three Power 4 matchups, UNC took Cal down to the wire, but eventually lost 21-18. While there were positive offensive performances, the Tar Heels' night was defined by two costly mistakes.
    • Bill Belichick's outlook. Does having a competitive outing on the road change the way you look at Belichick's future in Chapel Hill? The podcast discusses that topic and how this year's coaching carousel could impact what decision makers decide.
    • The South's oldest rivalry. No. 16 Virginia, which is one of the ACC's three unbeaten teams in conference play, rides into Chapel Hill after surviving a scare at home against Washington State. The Cavaliers have wins vs. Florida State and at Louisville, but their one loss was down the road at NC State in a rare non-conference matchup between league members (you read that correctly).
    • The disrespect of UNC basketball. The AP preseason poll is out and the Tar Heels are ranked 25h. This marks their lowest preseason ranking in 20 years, which might allow Hubert Davis' team to fly under the radar this year.
    • Exhibition in Salt Lake City. UNC will travel to Delta Center, the home of the Utah Jazz, for an exhibition date with BYU on Friday night. The Cougars are coming off a Sweet 16 appearance and are led by top freshman AJ Dybantsa, who had 30 points in BYU's first exhibition game at Nebraska.

In addition to the Tar Heel Roundtable Podcast, Graham and Dalton will also host weekly podcasts for other local teams in the state of North Carolina.

Both have covered UNC football and basketball for multiple years. In the professional ranks, they will produce content focusing on the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Hornets as well.

Roundtable would love to engage with you on the Tar Heels. Please comment on our posts and follow Graham (@JoshGrahamShow) and Dalton (@TheWillDalton) on X and Instagram.
